Animal Crossing was the last No. 1 for last year - UK Retail Charts 2 January 2021

 


Animal Crossing: New Horizons closed the year at number one in retail sales in the UK market. At the same time, it is the second title in total retail sales for 2020 in the country, with FIFA 21 winning the No. 1. Overall the market fell by 40% in the last week of 2020, a fact expected due to the end of the holidays. FIFA 21 was found at No. 2, down 55%, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe at No. 3, down 35%, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla at No. 4, with a reduction of 58% within seven days.

Just Dance 2021 closed the top five, while the remaining ten did not hide surprises with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War at No. 6, Minecraft (Switch) at No. 7, the Super Mario 3D All-Stars at No. 8, the Grand Theft Auto V at No. 9, and the New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe at No. 10. Cyberpunk 2077 with a 66% drop in sales was outside the Top 10, as was Spider-man: Miles Morales which dropped 70% from week to week.

The top ten best-selling titles in the UK last week were as follows:
