PUBG Mobile released an official verdict regarding the unsportsmanlike behavior from three players belonging to Loops Esports roster. Loops Esports are disqualified from the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2020 Finals because of their stunt to pull off a mini ‘protest’ in the last match of the League Stages.
PUBG Mobile Global Championship is the biggest tournament in the PUBG Mobile competitive ecosystem. Each and every team qualifying for this event has treaded a hard path of several regional qualifiers and hence, one can expect the highest level of competition in such a big event.
Loops Esports didn't live up to those expectations as they refused to compete within the last few matches of the fourth Super Weekend in PMGC League stages. This was thanks to some internal issues between the roster and its organization which led to players taking a bold step and staging an odd act within the Match Four and Five of PMGC Super Weekend: Week Four Day Three.
The organization came in to limelight for having some internal issues during the course of this tournament. As a result, their captain, Dadin, was suddenly began from the roster and therefore the team had to compete with a rather changed composition. The roster was evidently unhappy with this and decided to precise it on the worldwide stages.
Three players from Loops Esports namely FederaL, Gxlden, and Caiowski were seen within the Church area in Erangel map. They were just sitting there, doing nothing and this led to RRQ Athena getting three kills for free of charge . Fourth player from Loops decided to compete within the normal fashion and didn't participate during this act.
This was instantly noticed by the PUBG Mobile Esports officials and that they took a bold step to disqualify the whole team. The official ruling is as follows:
IN LIGHT OF TODAY’S UNSPORTSMANLIKE BEHAVIOR AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PUBG MOBILE COMPETITIVE POLICY, LOOPS ESPORTS HAS BEEN DISQUALIFIED FROM THE ONGOING COMPETITION – INCLUDING ALL SO FAR GAINED POINTS, PLACEMENTS, AND PRIZING. FURTHER ACTIONS MIGHT BE ANNOUNCED AT A LATER STAGE.

A similar accusation was also made during the Super Weekend stage of PUBG Mobile World League: West Season Zero where Loops had to offer abreast of their hard earnt overall standing points of July 26. This was the second time Loops was caught in trouble and thanks to “multiple incidents of unsportsmanlike behavior”, PUBG Mobile Esports took this harsh step.
